5.9.2025 - Newly elected TDP Chair Kendall Scudder to join TDWEC via Zoom

"The Texas Democratic Women of Ellis County will be presenting Kendall Scudder, the newly elected Texas Democratic Chairman. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce.”

 Kendall Scudder, the newly elected Texas Democratic Chairman will be speaking via zoom to the Texas Democratic Women of Ellis County about his plans for Texas. Kendall received his degree in Political Science at Sam Houston State University and also holds a Masters Degree in Political Management from George Washington University. He has worked as an affordable housing professional and is currently a board member of the Dallas County Appraisal District. 

 Kendall has dedicated himself to helping elect Democratic candidates across the state, and improved financial transparency and strategic planning within the Texas Democratic Party in his elected role as Vice Chair for Finance. He has also served on the City of Dallas’ Civil Service Board, on the legislative committee of the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas, and as co-chair of the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals.

  • Vice Chair for Civic Engagement and Voter participation (CEVP): Reyna Walters-Morgan

  • Vice Chair (three positions): Artie Blanco, Malcolm Kenyatta, and David Hogg

  • Secretary: Jason Rae

  • Treasurer: Virginia McGregor

  • National Finance Chair: Christ Korge

Unfortunately, the outcome of the 2024 election has been won by Donald Trump. The Republican party has also gained control of the Senate and kept control in the House. We will not stop fighting! Stay tuned for more news from your local Democratic party.

9.05.2024 - Ellis County Democrats Relocate Temporarily

3.14.2024 - 2024 Primary Election Results Canvass

On March 14th, 2024, party chair, Kelly Blackburn, performed the canvassing of the 2024 Primary election results.  She was assisted by Waynetta Dennis, precinct chair.  Video filmed by Terri Crouch, Executive Director of Ellis County Democratic Party.

3.13.2024 - Canvass of Democratic Party Primary Results Meeting Announcement

ATTN: Ellis County Democrats will meet to canvass the results of the March 5th Democratic Primary Election at 6pm Thursday, March 14th. We Will meet at Kelly Blackburn’s house, 405 W Marvin, Waxahachie, Texas. This is a public meeting.

3.7.2024 - Primary 2024 Election Results
